Functionality FAQs

Is the system modular?

Yes, the system is modular. Modules can be turned on or off depending on what functionality is desired. It is mandatory to have the 'Briefs' module as this contains the core function of allowing Briefs to be created, published and responded to by Sellers.

How is functionality priced?

Pricing for the platform is based on the functionality chosen. For clients using relatively little of the more advanced functionality then costs would typically be in the hundreds per month (if using Dollars/Euros/Pounds). For clients using the majority of the advanced functionality then costs would typically be in the thousands per month (if using Dollars/Euros/Pounds)

How does ACL work?

Buyers (those users creating and publishing Briefs) and Sellers (those users responding to Briefs with Bids) are segmented into Groups that determine what they can view and action. Users are provisioned to the relevant modules they need to perform their functions.

How do Brief and Bid templates work?

Depending on the level of functionality and hence pricing chosen, it is possible to create one or more Brief and Bid templates with custom fields to capture as much or as little data as required on the Brief and/or Bid level

How do approvals work?

Unless 'self entry mode' is enabled, each Submitted bid will need to be Approved or Declined by the initiating Buyer/s. Each user can have a defined 'approval limit' which sets a limit on the total amount in a bid that can be approved. It is also possible to configure a 2nd level of approval before a Bid is finally approved. Having approved a Bid, the Buyers have the option of notifying the non winning bidders or can manually notify them. Manual notification might occur if more than one winning Bid has been chosen (it is possible to configure that more than one winning Bid can be chosen within an Brief)

Can the system support custom branding?

Each client setup can be branded with logo and desired colours. We do not as yet support vanity domains, i.e. <bidcentr>.clientdomain.com
